Freelance job, PR/ Copy writer for philantrophic organization, payment: $0.06-$0.08 per word (St. Louis - telecommute)

Community-centric, philanthropic organization in need of a local press release and informative copy writer wanted for Traditional and SEO Press release writing for local, Saint Louis area media outlets and copy writing and editing of client and constituent pieces to be sent via electronic and postal mail.

These items and topics will be Saint Louis oriented, and not intended for national distribution.

Applicants should have a strong understanding of Saint Louis - and us Saint Louisans. As our projects are community oriented and fun, we are looking for candidates that "get" Saint Louis, and can execute these items in a professional fashion - but with lighthearted, positive intent.

Topics and information as well as desired message/result will be furnished. We just need them compiled and assembled into functional, effective work.

Please include sample work and a resume with your response. Offices located in CWE and second, expanded office on The Hill. Work from home (telecommute) or feel free to use our offices. We will require one to two office meetings a month to coordinate strategy and messaging with the marketing and development teams. Office, meeting and training time is paid hourly in addition to writing compensation.

Professionals with marketing, submission, journalism, and broadcast experience a plus. Position also requires submission/dissemination to local outlets - which can be assisted by our staff.
