We seek writers with specific experience working in the renewables and EV space to write blog content for us. Word length will generally vary from 800 - 1,500 words posts. Sometimes, you will also be assigned social media posts and article outlines (part of our editorial calendars) to complete, too.
We pay writers on a per-word basis. When submitting your proposal, indicate your required rate per word.
HERE'S WHAT WE LOOK FOR IN A GREAT WRITER:
- Industry experience in renewable energy or EVs (electric vehicles).
- Ability to write the type of content that we need.
- Ability to write several pieces of content each month. We look for you to be able to write at least 3,000 words per week for us.
- Adherence to deadlines. Turnaround times are generally 2 business days, with more time for articles that need more than 1,000 words.
- Consistency in quality.
If we select you as a writer, we'll set up a paid test assignment (anywhere from 300 words in length).
If our customers and we believe that your work is at the level needed, we'll add you to our team. You'll then get 1 - 4 content assignments per month. If you want more than that, let us know. If you meet the criteria above, we'll test you on some of our other client writing teams as the need becomes available.
We offer monthly retainers for top writers who have proven themselves to us over time.
HOW DO WE MOVE FORWARD?
It's pretty straightforward. When submitting your proposal, answer the questions in this job posting. We will respond within one business day with a yes/no on whether you move to the test assignment. If approved for the paid test assignment, we'll make an Upwork job offer to you for the price of the paid test assignment.
Once you accept, you'll send us some required information so that we can get you set up on our writer portal. You'll then be introduced to our content operations manager. She will give you a quick orientation on our expectations for the test assignment, detailed assignment instructions and a content style guide. The assignment will then be assigned to you.
IF APPROVED AS AN ONGOING WRITER
You will receive periodic emails with new assignments if you are added to one of our teams. You'll get detailed assignment instructions and a style guide to work from with each assignment. Payments are made via Upwork every Monday for all completed and approved content from the week before.
