Harvard Art Museums is looking for a Writer (remote, temporary) | pay: $27 per hour

The Institutional Advancement team at the Harvard Art Museums seeks a limited term temporary writer to assist in numerous projects. This position’s primary responsibility will be to produce proposals for current and prospective donors and to creatively align initiatives from our new Strategic Plan with current assets. This will involve collaborating with Development staff and interacting with various program leaders across the institution to gather relevant information to write accurate and detailed proposals in timely manner. Additional responsibilities include producing annual endowment stewardship reports for the museums’ named funds, updating solicitation and acknowledgment letters, and completing other donor communication-related projects. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Less than half time (14 hours/week or less), Two days per week, M-F, flexible hours.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills and strong project management capability
  • Proven experience in writing and project management in a professional setting
  • Ability to be passionate when writing about the teaching mission of the Harvard Art Museums
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
  • Demonstrated flexibility, reliability, and tact
